Your responsibilities…
- Liaise across all functions in the company to drive your opportunities
- Sales and market analysis and good use of MS Excel
- Project management for new products and product improvements (full lifecycle management)
- Taking products from concept to launch (full go-to-market planning)
- Working closely with suppliers and internally for new products, ranging, packaging, prototypes, testing and specs
- Promotional activities such as seasonal pallets, new product tests
- Pricing and margin management
- Forecasting
- Working closely with the sales team for channel management
- Presentations to customers
- Field activity - You are expected to see customers and walk into stores to understand what is happening at "the last three feet" of a sale
Who are you?
- Marketing qualifications are ideal, but not essential
- At least two years of relevant product marketing experience
- Strong project management skills
- Outstanding number crunching skills using MS Excel
- Supreme organisation and influencing skills,
- Ability to prioritise; juggle projects to completion and work at a fast pace
- Proactiveness and regularly researching new product opportunities
- Exposure to retail distribution via mass merchants; grocery, department stores, hardware and specialty retail is ideal
