This is a rare opportunity to step into a product manager role with some of the foundations in place, along with the scope to maintain and build the category quickly.

What you’ll do
- Lead the product and category strategy, giving you end-to-end ownership of ranging, positioning and performance
- Drive the NPD and stage gate process, bringing structure, momentum and discipline to a pipeline of innovation projects
- Conduct market analysis and competitive research, allowing you to identify gaps and prioritise the right opportunities
- Pricing and margin management, in collaboration with the pricing team and sales team, ensuring ideal market positioning and profitability
- Involvement in forecasting and SNOP planning for your category, helping the business make smarter inventory decisions
- Partner with the marketing communications team to build brand and promotional activity, treating them as an internal agency and drive a market engagement with distributors, trades, builders and specifiers
- Mentor a graduate team member, helping to build capability within the team as the function grows
Who you are
- A commercially sharp product manager or category manager with experience in building materials, B2B, hardware, industrial or manufacturing businesses
- Confident working cross functionally and influencing sales, R&D, production and operations
- Strong data analysis, with advanced Excel skills and comfort using AI tools to accelerate insights and reporting
- A critical thinker who asks the right questions before jumping to solutions and backs their recommendations with evidence
- Someone who sets high standards for themselves and the people around them, and delivers consistently
- Relevant marketing, business or engineering qualifications
