I moved out of marketing and sales roles within building materials markets into recruitment in 2000, motivated by many frustrating experiences as a candidate. I worked exclusively in the B2B sector at Morgan & Banks, recruiting sales and marketing roles from graduates through to senior management. I also had the opportunity to work with some of the best recruiters in Australia. I sat at their feet… I listened, I learned, and I applied best practice. I was lucky to have amazing mentors, some of which I still have today.I have seen the recruitment industry change and adapt over the last 25 years. I am a constant student of best practice and the effective application of those best practices to improve the experience of clients, candidates and our team at Saunders Lynn.For nearly 25 years, I have developed in-depth knowledge and experience recruiting in the B2B marketplace, specifically focusing on building and architecture, industrial and education markets with clients such as Boral, CSR, James Hardie, GWA, Laminex, The Living Edge, Sebel Furniture and Armstrong among many others.Today, I spend most of my time working on General Management roles and senior executive positions in sales and marketing. What is in it for you?
Located in Sydney's creative precinct, this role will help you leverage your passion for luxury product ranges and interiors. You will be servicing walk-in clients, consumers, architects, interior designers, developers etc. You'll be working one-on-one with a designer or consumer in the morning, and then hosting a group of key accounts in the late afternoon by organising showroom events and presentation in the showroom.

You take pride in delivering an outstanding showroom experience and excellent customer service. Your love of refinement and detail pays dividends while you liaise with consumers, designers, and architects. Your personal organisation and quiet hustle will elevate customer satisfaction and drive sales growth. Typical of showroom roles, you'll be working weekends and weekdays on rotation.

This role has the potential to lead to further career development into a field sales role based on performance. In addition, you have access to staff discounts and ongoing training and development.


Your employer
This company has established itself as a key player in local and European bathware, with always on-trend products that are constantly being updated to be at the forefront of today's modern bathroom.  This range is sold to architects, interior designers, builders and retailers. Your focus is the retail channel and continuing to service this market with some of the most outstanding, on-trend bathroomware available.

Your responsibilities...
  • Deliver an exceptional showroom experience befitting your client's high expectations   
  • Co-ordination of opportunities to bring clients into the showroom and provide an outstanding brand experience
  • Consult and provide presentations to highlight key product features
  • Execution of events, launches, and functions 
  • Administration, use for CRM, preparation of quotes, follow-ups and coordination of showroom bookings
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends

Your skills & experience

  • A background in retail sales with a passion for interiors and architecture is ideal
  • Poise, communication and presentation skills 
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and consistent follow-up and administration skills
  • Exposure to courting architects and interior designers in a showroom environment is an advantage, but not essential
  • Expertise in event development, management, hospitality, catering etc.
