Your mission is to deliver double digit sales increases year on year (which is very achieveable), via a combination of solid market understanding, strategy development and the hands on training and mentoring of your team. In addition, you plan and deliver the education and development of your customers to act as an extension of your sales team. This role is heavy on strategy and field sales management.
This role provides the opportunity to move into the General Manager role, based on performance. Succession planning is built into this role if you continue to add value, drive a happy and successful team and showcase your strategic ability while being able to bring your team along for the ride and effectively execute on sales and market share increases.

The organisation is looking to take their sales leadership to the next level by hiring an experienced and capable National Sales Manager, with experience managing multiple channels to market and elevating sales skill sets - from basic to good, and from good to great.
Your responsibilities
- Drive a sales and customer service culture throughout the business through training and ongoing coaching
- Manage and develop a high-performing sales team
- Write and manage the sales strategy and playbook
- Drive effective execution of the sales plan and maintain and improve margins
- P&L responsibility
- Effective launch of new products and promote their uptake across the market
- Explore and implement new business development strategies
- Responsible for the ongoing development of national sales meetings and sales conference
Who are you?
- You have a proven track record of success in a senior sales leadership role, ideally at a national level, (or a large state management role)
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and develop high-performing teams
- Strong on analytics and data and turning insights into revenue
- Able to work with a wide variety of different channels to market, via trades, builders, specifiers, dealer/retail networks
- Able to travel interstate and overseas, as this is always a part of a national sales role
- Tertiary business qualifications are ideal
